Fixing Windows7 MBR

The ever-so-familiar fixmbr doesn't work with Windows7 and probably not with Vista either.

What you want is:

bootsect /nt60 SYS /mbr

Recover your Windows 7 partition when multi-booting goes wrong!

Passed my UK driving theory Test this morning!

Got 47/50 for the multiple choice part and 57/75 for the hazard perception part! Pass marks are 43/50 and 44/75 respectively.

I studied for maybe 2hours for the hazard perception test and around 4hours for the multiple choice. Bearing in mind I took a similar multiple choice test when I was 16 for my 50cc bike license. Quite pleased!

PokerStars Daily £2000 UK Freeroll

I finished "in the money" in yesterdays UK Freeroll on PokerStars. Finished around 500-600th place and won about $1.50! Yeah! Then proceaded to loose a $1.15 Double or Nothing SitnGo!

PokerStars is doing this freeroll and another £250 one at 21.30 every day until March'ish time so if you have a PokerStars account and live in the UK you are missing out by not playing in it.

Snow in Hull this morning

It's always pleasant to wake up and everything be covered in white. Makes me want to go back to the alps and do some snowboarding. No hills in Hull. Had a 9.15 lecture, now time to do some work on my Poker Project.

CM-Group graduate recruiting at Hull Uni

Yesterday, Monday, CM group held a presentation at Hull Uni looking to recruit a graduate. One of their largest clients is Microsoft which is pretty cool. They create training material for Microsoft's newest technologies; books, labs, tutorials. Graduates can work towards a Microsoft certification and are paid around 20 grand. Not bad. Small company based in Bristol.
